Murals
make a statement
A mural is an experience.
It tells a story.
It helps to set you apart by achieving
an unique and memorable look.
On top of enhancing the aesthetic appeal of your propperty and making it a point of pride and conservation, it is a powerful marketing tool to communicate the essence of your brand in a glance!
Type of Paint
I use a variety of mediums on my murals but the majority of the artwork will be done with artist quality acrylic paint.
Protection
My outdoor murals are finished with a ColorShield/ UV coating specially designed for fine art mural preservation. It provides a flexible and breathable barrier that protects the paint against UV light, corrosion, and water damage. This innovative consolidant fuses paint layers while using UV absorbers to prevent fading, cracking, and chalking.
Maintenance
The artwork can be wipe clean with water and soap if needed. No special maintenance will be required.
Execution
I work during school hours and for outdoor murals I like to start as soon as the day breaks (to evade the sun). The specific subject, size and location of the painting will determine the amount of time it requires.
Surface Requirements
The surface needs to be ready to receive paint before the artwork can begin. (This means the client might have to remove flaking paint/ sand the surface for paint to adhere/ prime the surface or cover an existing artwork with a single color.)
I prefer not to paint on textured walls - as it requires double the amount of paint and time + the result will not be as beautiful.
Procedure
For an estimation of the cost, one can fill out the form below.
To start, I come out to meet the client, measure the wall and inquire about the client’s vision. This takes about 30 minuntes.
I create a digital concept for the wall, considering the clients wishes. The concept will be a close, but not exact, representation of the final artwork. It will capture the subject, composition and colors, but not all the painterly details and effects like brushstrokes/drips/texture and patterns.
The client receives this via email once the concept design payment has been made. A free round of revisions is offered. For extra rounds a fee will be charged.
Once the client has approved the concept and made the deposio, a starting date can be scheduled.
Cost
The price will be determined by the size, subject/complexity and the location. (I have painted in enclosed spaces, on scoffolds, sitting on a skateboards and lying on my belly to get the work done - hence the location.)
It is possible to tweek the design to suit the clients budget to an extend.
